Expression of Interest – Service/Contract Manager (Planned Works)
Location: Evesham

Mears Group is preparing to mobilise a new long-term social housing repairs and maintenance partnership across the wider Midlands region. 

Delivering housing repairs and maintenance services across a geographically diverse social housing portfolio covering market towns, rural communities and urban locations, the contract will include responsive repairs, planned maintenance and property services with a strong focus on customer service, quality and community investment. 

Due to upcoming mobilisation activity, expressions of interest are invited from experienced Service/Contract Managers across South Worcestershire, North Gloucestershire, and surrounding areas.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Management of all aspects of operational and commercial delivery for planned works programmes, ensuring overall contract performance in line with contractual commitments and agreed company & client protocols. Managing works to programme time frames, producing project 
  • Ensure compliancy and adherence to health & safety regulations, Mears standard operating procedures Mears values and quality assurance accreditations. Demonstrate, maintain and monitor the company’s commitment to best practice with legislation, codes of practice & good working practices relevant to all work activities 
  • End-to-end management of planned works and high-risk properties across a range of occupied homes 
  • Line management of supervisors, including performance reviews, one-to-ones, and daily briefings 
  • Oversight of KPIs, reporting, and service delivery standards across planned works activities
  • Handling client queries and managing resident complaints effectively 
  • Supporting and engaging operatives and branch teams to achieve high-quality planned maintenance outcomes 

Key Criteria:

  • Experience in Managing a planned works contract within the social housing sector 
  • Experience in Budget management 
  • Experience in performance reporting 
  • Experience in People Management 
  • Ability to provide evidence of contract performance and efficiency 
  • Workable technical knowledge of social housing repairs and maintenance 
  • Full valid driving license

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
