Job Summary

Comcast Business is seeking a highly skilled Contract Manager (CM) to support our fast-paced B2B communications sales organization. This role is primarily responsible for the drafting, redlining, and negotiation of high-volume commercial service agreements, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Product Specific Attachments (PSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and NDAs. The CM will apply Comcast Business contract templates, approved clause libraries, and negotiation playbooks to efficiently process customer revisions, assess risk, and drive agreements to execution.

The CM will be Responsible for providing high volume contract support to the Comcast Business sales organization and its customers, including examining customer-requested revisions to service agreements, delivery schedules, terms, and pricing to ensure completeness and accuracy, and provide guidance to field sales organization regarding service obligations.

This is not a post execution contract administration role; the focus is front end drafting, negotiation, and transactional contract support leveraging contract systems administration, documentation management, reporting, and process optimization to ensure accurate contract execution, tracking, and compliance.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Primary role: Drafts, revises, redline, and negotiates communications-related commercial services agreements, including MSAs, PSAs, SOWs, NDAs, pricing exhibits, and customer-requested contract modifications.
  • Reviews contract change requests, special provisions, alternative terms, and pricing; all in compliance with corporate policies and business procedures.
  • Drives high‑volume transactional negotiations using Comcast Business contract templates, clause libraries, and legal playbooks to ensure consistency and compliance with corporate policies.
  • Assists with contract amendments, renewals, terminations, and post-execution modifications in accordance with established processes.
  • Receives contract escalations via CRM tools (Salesforce/Microsoft Dynamics etc.) and processes contract agreements/solutions until signature.
  • Manages contract workflow routing, approval tracking, status updates, and execution processes within Comcast’s Contract Lifestyle Management (CLM) system, other contract management platforms, and CRM tools.
  • Performs administrative contract processing tasks including document uploads, version control, clause library utilization, template management, and audit trail documentation.
  • Maintains accurate contract records in internal databases and ensures timely system updates to reflect negotiation status, approvals, signatures, amendments, renewals, and expirations.
  • Coordinates execution via electronic signature platforms (e.g., DocuSign or equivalent) and ensures fully executed agreements are archived according to record retention policies.
  • Reviews and validates contract data for completeness, compliance alignment, and system integrity prior to execution.
  • Must thrive under routine collaboration with corporate legal counsel, as needed, to ensure agreements comply with appropriate laws and regulations, and company legal requirements.
  • Works on a team with similarly skilled Contracts Managers in an extremely collaborative environment.
  • Prepared to act as conduit for Sales Operation leadership in various internal and external capacities.
  • Able to process complex legal and business terms in the formulation of negotiation strategies in furtherance of revenue generation.
  • Provides continuous support to business management related to contractual (risk) advisement. Contract managers must see beyond the “black and white” of contractual terms and prosper within the “grey.”
  • Facilitates training on new processes and procedures, contract versions, systems tools, and resources for the Contract Management team and field personnel.
  • Works to establish needed processes that will create efficiencies in the Business Services group, including contract automation and standardization initiatives.
  • Participates in continuous improvement efforts related to contract workflow optimization, system enhancements, and template refinement.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance during working hours (9-5), with limited night and weekends work as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • May require occasional travel (10%).

Job Specification:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) Required
  • 2+ years related experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts desired.
  • Experience working with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems or enterprise contract management platforms strongly preferred.
  • Experience administering contract workflows within Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar CRM-integrated systems preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience performing contract processing and administrative contract management tasks with strong attention to data accuracy.
  • Successful past candidates have demonstrated creativity in approach to legal language, processes, systems, and solutions.
  • Must be proficient in redlining documents and creating comparisons of redlines using Microsoft Word.
  • Experience with electronic signature platforms (e.g., DocuSign, Adobe Sign) preferred.
  • Strong document management, version control, and contract tracking capabilities required.
  • Previous knowledge of customer telecom/cable/technical industries a plus.
  • Previous contracts manager or paralegal experience preferred.
  • Previous exposure to sales teams (within a legal capacity or otherwise) preferred.
  • Must exhibit excellent inter-personal skills.
  • Must be able to project manage a queue containing a high volume of contracts at any given time.
  • Must view tight deadlines/pressure as an opportunity to show leadership and flourish.
  • Must have sufficient professional confidence so as to advise internal executives as well as negotiate with customer Counsel as may be needed.
  • Must have exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Must be open to feedback and looking to work in a team environment.

Compensation

This job can be performed in Illinois, and New Jersey with a Pay Range of $71,194.84 - $133,490.32. This job can be performed in California with a good faith estimated pay range upon hire of $64,075.35 USD - $118,658.06.

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within the posted range for this role at the time of posting dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
