Responsible for Foreign Exchange Sales Trading within Continental Europe across predominately the European Real Money / Institutional FX client base.

What you will be responsible for

Role specifics

  • Drive the retention, development and extension of the foreign exchange client franchise in Continental Europe

  • Willing to travel across Continental Europe as needed in order to participate in and support  client forums, new business development opportunities and cross-sell initiatives across State Street

  • Understanding and passion for the ever changing macro-economic environment

  • Ability to book trades and monitor EFX win rates to optimise client flow across Spot, Swap and NDF.

  • Relationships within the Real Money, Institutional, Private Market FX space is a plus.

  • Language skills to aid with interactions across Continental Europe with Scandinavian and/or Italian languages preferred.

  • Adhere to  limits of delegation and escalation procedures required by your manager so that you comply with internal policies and external regulations

Risk Excellence

Ensuring compliance with all corporate standards, codes of conduct, business unit limits and guidelines governing FX sales and trading activities. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Counterpart credit limits

  • US Swap Dealer requirements, DF regulations, EMIR regulations, MiFID regulations and all local regulations.

  • Being fully knowledgeable of internal compliance policies, guidelines, limits and procedures as well as completing all certifications completely and on a timely basis.

  • Being conversant in industry best practice and striving to exceed best practices whenever possible.

  • Seeking out ways to improve our control framework.

What we value

  • Good knowledge and experience of FX products and relevant systems, knowledge of macro-economic climate.

  • Knowledge of State Street proprietary research

  • European Language skills (Scandinavian and/or Italian preferred)

  • Interpersonal, numerical, problem-solving, analytical skills, market and operational risk focused

  • Motivation, team skills and ability to work under pressure

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent with significant market experience
