About the Role & Program

The Walt Disney Company’s Disney Entertainment (DE) segment is a global business responsible for all monetization of content—both distribution and ad sales. It leads all aspects of the operations of the Company’s entertainment streaming services (including Disney+ and Hulu), domestic entertainment broadcast and cable television networks, as well as theatrical distribution. DE brings together best-in-class products, technology, and commercialization teams into one global organization, with the goal of growing the footprint of Disney’s world-class content and beloved brands and delivering highly personalized entertainment experiences to diverse consumers around the world!  

We are a team of professionals with backgrounds in consulting, private equity, media & entertainment, and technology who serve as in-house advisers on the strategic deployment of content. We partner closely with executives from Disney’s content studios and partners within DE’s finance, strategy, data analytics, research, and operational marketing and scheduling teams.  

The Content Planning & Analysis team has recently led forecasting performance measurements for new movies and TV series for the studios greenlight process. We performed the valuation of content licensing deals in support of the negotiation processes with third party media & entertainment corporations, and we formulated new metrics to measure the performance of content across streaming, cable, and theatrical.  

What You Will Do

You will work within our team to support content distribution decisions, conduct sophisticated analyses, and craft strategic frameworks alongside our full-time analysts and managers. This opportunity provides exposure to the executive decision-making process at Disney and can influence the strategic direction of the world’s premier entertainment company.  

  • You will be asked to query and synthesize multiple datasets from different sources to extract and communicate trends and subscriber behaviors.

  • You will use advanced forecasting techniques to build and maintain models to predict content performance and subscriber engagement.

  • You will develop analyses and frameworks used to identify areas for optimization on past content investments and identify future content investment opportunities.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • SQL skills to clean, transform, and interpret large sets of data. 

  • Proficiency in building thoughtful visualization of complex datasets and insights.  

  • Experience using econometric methods for causal analysis and/or machine learning techniques for forecasting.  

  • Proven analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills.  

  • Passion for business, media & entertainment, and technology.  

  

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience with sports and/or gaming data and statistic modeling

  • Familiarity with programming languages such as R or Python

  • Prior experience in interacting with sophisticated databases

Education

Currently enrolled as a Graduate level student in interdisciplinary studies combining degrees in Data Analytics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, research, or related quantitative tracks with Economics, Finance, Business, or related concentrations.  

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the requirements below:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship

  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization


Additional Information

  • The approximate dates of this position are May/June 2026 through August/September 2026

  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

  • Fully available from Monday-Friday for the duration of the position, 40 hours per week
