Content Editor (German speaking)

We are looking for a Content Editor to join our Belgrade office at Clarivate, where you’ll play a key role in improving data discoverability across our databases. This role focuses on collecting, classifying, and curating data from multiple sources while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to editorial standards.If this sounds like an opportunity you are interested in, then we would love to talk to you! 

About You

  • 2 years of working experience in similar settings (preferably Database management, content management, or editorial roles)
  • Proficiency in German
  • Proficiency in English
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience

It would be great if you also had . . .  

  • Experience with Python programming
  • Previous exposure to AI projects or automation initiatives
  • Academic or scientific research domain knowledge

What will you be doing in this role? 

  • Under minimal guidance, review various data sources and gather relevant information to edit and validate product data, creating classification and indexing relevant to specific product requirements. 
  • Deliver high-quality records by ensuring completeness, proper data structure, and timeliness of database updates. 
  • Adhere to prescribed editorial guidelines and propose terms for consideration where gaps or inconsistencies are identified within existing guidelines. 
  • Under supervision author and edit summary text providing descriptive and contextual information about content. 
  • Perform quality audits following the standard operating procedure relevant for data set and correct data as required.  
  • Successfully navigate content management system and other editorial toolsets to ensure timely updates to databases, preparing and maintaining stats and other reports as needed. 
  • Investigate and assist with resolution of issues for internal and external customers, including reporting from content management system. 
  • Assist in resolving data entry and system problems and execute tests and update technology tickets with test results. 
  • Train, mentor and guide new team members in the common production tasks and applications. 
  • Be an expert resource within the department, able to answer questions from the team or external teams/colleagues on editorial processes and internal applications. 
  • Work on special projects as needed in support of emerging business needs.

The team is supporting the research community globally.

Hours of Work 

This is a permanent, full‑time role with standard EMEA working hours (9:00–17:00).

This is a hybrid position; you will be expected to work from our Belgrade office 3 days every other week.
