Labcorp is seeking a Content Designer to join our team in the Burlington, NC or Durham, NC office.

Work Schedule

This is a full‑time, exempt (salaried) position assigned to a First Shift schedule, with standard business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Business needs may occasionally require flexibility in work hours, including earlier, later, or additional hours, with reasonable notice provided when possible.

Applicants who live within 35 miles of either the Burlington, NC or Durham, NC location will follow a hybrid schedule. This schedule includes a minimum of three in-office days per week at an assigned location, either Burlington or Durham, supporting both collaboration and flexibility.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop compelling stories and content that clearly articulate product value, use cases and customer impact
  • Create high-quality presentations, videos, demos and educational materials to support product adoption and internal/external communication
  • Translate technical concepts into accessible, audience‑appropriate narratives and visuals
  • Collaborate with design, product and leadership partners to understand requirements and build aligned content
  • Apply and interpret brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all communication materials
  • Use AI-powered content, design and video tools to improve efficiency, creativity and production workflows
  • Iterate on content based on feedback from stakeholders, incorporating critique as a natural and valuable part of the creative process
  • Maintain a library of reusable content assets and templates that teams can leverage
  • Support documentation or training initiatives by producing educational and instructional content as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Design, Marketing, Instructional Design or equivalent work experience
  • 3 or more years of experience creating content, presentations or multimedia assets for products, solutions or technology-driven organizations
  • 2 or more years of experience with presentation tools such as PowerPoint; familiarity with video production or editing tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1 or more years of experience using AI tools to enhance efficiency and content quality (e.g., Copilot, generative design tools, AI video/audio editors)

ADDITIONAL JOB STANDARDS

  • Strong storytelling and writing ability with a portfolio showcasing narrative clarity and visual communication
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly across teams and to present work effectively in live or virtual settings
  • Strong visual design skills with the ability to interpret brand systems and adapt content for different audiences

The Content Designer will collaborate with product, design and leadership teams to craft compelling narratives that clearly communicate how our products and solutions solve real customer problems. This role blends storytelling, visual communication and instructional design to create high‑quality presentations, videos, education materials and other assets that drive understanding and adoption. The ideal candidate brings strong visual design skills, experience applying brand guidelines and the ability to adapt content for different audiences. Openness to feedback, clear communication and a growth mindset are essential.

A Content Designer transforms complex information into clear, engaging and persuasive stories through a variety of media formats. Their core expertise includes narrative development, visual storytelling, presentation design and multimedia asset creation. They understand how to simplify and humanize technical concepts, maintain brand consistency and design content tailored to diverse audiences. This role also requires comfort working with AI‑powered tools to accelerate asset creation and enhance creative output. Strong communication skills and the ability to embrace design critique are fundamental to success.
