We believe that great design is at the heart of this mission and we’re looking for a curious, empathetic, and passionate content designer to join our Experience Design Team. This is an exciting opportunity to craft content that is not only engaging and effective but also integral to the overall user experience.

As a Content Designer, you will work closely with cross-functional partners to design and deliver the Justworks experience. In this role, you will apply your passion for tackling complex design problems with a focus on our customers’ needs. You are a versatile designer who steps back to analyze complex workflows and also dives into the details of interactions and user interface. You share early and often, holding nothing precious and collaborating with other designers to establish a world-class user experience for our customers across the Justworks product suite. You balance systems-level thinking with an eye for detail, constantly striving to shape complex, difficult user problems into simple, seamless experiences.

Your Success Profile

What You Will Work On

  • Design experiences across the entire product development lifecycle, from discovery to conceptualization to delivery and launch; ensure that content is woven seamlessly into the user experience, enhancing every interaction
  • Write, edit, and test clear cross-channel communications to guide our customers and the user experience. This includes product flows, transactional emails, terminology, and other content needs across Justworks products.
  • Collaborate with other designers, product managers, researchers, marketers, data scientists, and engineers to identify, define, and solve design problems
  • Conduct and collaborate on user research, testing, and data analysis to understand user behavior and inform design decisions, ensuring that every word and interaction is purposeful and impactful.
  • Validate design decisions through rapid prototyping and experimentation
  • Help shape our internal content patterns with consistency and efficiency in mind
  • Perform other related responsibilities as needed based on department and/or organizational needs.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in ux writing or content design
  • A curious & relentless problem-solver, with keen attention to detail
  • A fierce advocate for users and their experience who is passionate about the role content plays in the overall product experience
  • A writer, with a passion for crafting clear, accurate and concise messages
  • Ability to operate like a design business leader–understanding that designers solve business problems through the lens of design. 
  • Ability to breakdown and simplify complex concepts into easy-to-understand messages
  • Systems thinker, creating content with consistency and scale in mind
  • Highly collaborate with an eagerness to learn
  • Knowledge of SaAS and/or HRIS space, preferred

The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $127,000.00 to $160,000.00 per year.

Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location.  Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
