Role Specific Information

This role is based at our Corporate Office in Menomonee Falls, WI. You’ll work onsite from Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.

Job Description

About the Role

As a Content Creator, you will create engaging social content that helps drive brand awareness and sell products, emphasizing video and TikTok content.

What You’ll Do

  • Conceptualize and create engaging and original content for all social platforms that aligns with Kohl’s voice and objectives

  • Stay ahead of TikTok trends, challenges and cultural moments to implement relevant and timely content into the social strategy

  • Collaborate closely with Art Directors, Designers, Copywriters and Strategy partners to understand campaign goals and messaging, translating them visually

  • Execute end-to-end video production, including filming, editing and sound design, to deliver high-quality content that drives awareness and engagement

  • Experiment with different video styles, techniques and formats to keep content fresh and appealing to diverse audiences

  • Be creative and push boundaries while being mindful of corporate limitations 

  • Travel as needed to capture social content at events and photoshoots

  • Additional tasks may be assigned

What Skills You Have

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 2+ years of experience in social media content creation, with a strong emphasis on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts

  • Basic skills in photography, videography, video editing and graphic design (experience with Adobe Suite or similar tools)

  • Comfortable appearing (and speaking) on camera in social content

  • Ability to capture still and motion content on iPhone camera and edit accordingly

  • Strong visual and storytelling skills, with an eye for detail and a knack for quickly capturing attention 

  • Ability to present creative concepts in a professional, organized manner

  • Excellent organization, time management and multitasking skills

  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment

  • Strong communication skills and a creative mindset

  • Social-first mindset, always thinking about what’s next in content trends and the ability to create quick-turn concepts and content

Preferred

  • Photo art direction experience

  • Experience working in fashion or beauty

  • Strong understanding of photography and retouching

Special Requirements

  • Travel is based on market trends, key events, and real-time opportunities to capture engaging content in-store and around the city.

  • Ability to be flexible and available to travel as needed to ensure timely and relevant coverage
