Overview of Role
This hybrid role provides a mix of business, science, and creativity and therefore is an attractive option if you’re looking for variety in your work. In this role, you will work with clients and our dedicated content team for end-to-end delivery of successful medical education projects. In addition, you will manage an established portfolio of pharmaceutical and NFP accounts as well as new prospects to develop, coordinate and deliver client education strategies through our online and face-to-face channels.
To be successful, you will be proactive, professional, and a team player. You must be passionate about medical education with the ability to manage multiple projects across a broad range of channels, platforms, and clients simultaneously. In addition to understanding medical education strategy, this role requires excellent communication, organisational skills, and high attention to detail.
This is a broad yet rewarding role working alongside a diverse and dedicated team including GP advisors, medical writers, content managers, IT developers, and marketing professionals. If you are someone who has worked in medical content, publishing or education, and can understand (and translate) scientific language into practical outcomes, this role might be an interesting proposition for you!
Reporting into our Head of Content, this is a permanent full-time role to be based in Sydney with the possibility of combined home/office-based arrangements to have flexible work-life balance.
Responsibilities
Create and deliver medical education strategies and tactics that provide maximum value for all stakeholders, including sponsors, doctors and patients.
Develop strong relationships with existing sponsors by understanding and responding to their education needs while ensuring that all initiatives comply with necessary ethical and regulatory requirements.
Identify new partnership opportunities with potential sponsors that can be delivered through GPCE and ThinkGP.
Work with subject matter experts in accordance with the medical education strategy and GP learning needs to create relevant content for online and face to face delivery.
Continuously improve processes relating to content creation, instructional design, and business development.
Coordinate and contribute to client briefing meetings with senior members of the team.
Oversee progress and maintain project documentation during project lifecycles.
Work with the team to deliver reports on the measurement and effectiveness of education delivered for clients.
Ensure all content is produced to the highest standard and meets accreditation guidelines set by medical colleges.
Requirements
Strong strategic, project management and client management experience
Experience in healthcare or life sciences such as in medical agency or primary care or pharma will be highly desirable
Understanding of scientific language will be highly regarded
Business development and/or sales experience
Interest or experience in editorial and digital content delivery including LMS systems and authoring tools
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated attention to detail
Willingness to travel for events
Availability to work occasional weekends and evenings
