Team Overview
The firm’s Human Resources function is at the leading edge of diversity and operational excellence, representing over 30 nationalities and supporting employees across 45+ languages globally and we are seeking an Analyst – HR Operations & Platform to provide primary HR operational support for Japan, while contributing to broader APAC HR operations and digital HR initiatives, including AskHR and AI‑driven solutions.
Role Overview
The HR Operations & Platform Analyst will support end‑to‑end HR operational delivery across Rewards, Recruiting, Talent Development, and Employee Lifecycle processes, while actively contributing to AI‑enabled service delivery models such as AskHR.
This role is ideal for HR professionals who thrive in a fast‑paced, global environment, are comfortable working early shifts aligned to APAC time zones, and are keen to build expertise in HR operations, automation, and digital HR platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Core HR Operations
Serve as a primary HR operations support contact for Japan, partnering with employees, managers, and key identified stakeholders across APAC.
Partner closely with internal HR teams including Payroll, Rewards, Recruiting, Talent Development, and HR Business Partners to resolve employee and manager inquiries within defined timelines.
Deliver high‑quality, customer‑focused HR support, providing accurate information while applying strong problem‑solving skills.
Execute, review, and audit HR transactions across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee data management, employee documentation, reporting, payroll inputs, and terminations/transfers.
Develop a strong understanding of end‑to‑end HR processes and act as a capable backup for other team members across APAC coverage.
Review, execute and audit HR transactions relating to employee lifecycle.
Identify and implement process improvement and standardization opportunities, including automation initiatives.
Balance BAU responsibilities with participation in projects, regional initiatives, and continuous improvement workstreams.
Create, update, and maintain process documentation and SOPs.
Collaborate with regional and global peers to share best practices and drive consistency across HR operations.
AI‑Driven Operations
Support day‑to‑day operations of BlackRock’s AI‑enabled HR support platform, by ensuring accurate handling of employee inquiries and seamless escalation where required.
Partner with HR stakeholders to drive AI adoption, improve knowledge accuracy, and enhance the employee experience through digital self‑service.
Experience & Qualifications
1–4 years of relevant experience in HR Operations or a similar HR delivery role.
Bachelor’s degree required (BBA / B. Com preferred).
MBA / Post‑Graduate qualification in HR is an added advantage.
Japanese language skills (reading, writing, and speaking) are preferred, given primary Japan support coverage.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential; Workday and ServiceNow experience required.
Broad understanding of HR concepts, processes, and their interdependence.
Experience in financial services or investment banking is preferred but not mandatory.
Willingness and ability to work early morning India shifts aligned to APAC business hours.
