The Consumer Banking Learning Specialist II demonstrates proficiency in independently facilitating Learning and Development programs across both classroom and in branch environments. The incumbent will effectively manage the transfer of knowledge related to sales processes, products, services, soft skills, leadership, performance management, and policies while applying adult learning theory to ensure participant comprehension and job ready performance. The role alternates between delivering structured curriculum in a traditional classroom setting and supporting in branch, on the job learning to reinforce skills in real time scenarios. The specialist will contribute to the strategy, design, and enhancement of training programs through their perspective and feedback. In addition, the incumbent will provide recommendations to improve curriculum relevancy, engagement, and alignment with business outcomes. Traveling across the WSFS footprint is required to deliver training, support branch learning needs, and ensure consistent program execution. Additionally, the Learning Specialist is responsible for measuring the impact of training through retention, participant performance, feedback, and behavioral observations to continuously strengthen learning effectiveness.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Independently facilitate structured curriculum across both classroom and in‑branch settings, applying adult learning theory to ensure comprehension, engagement, and job‑ready performance. This includes preparing materials, adapting delivery based on learner’s needs, and managing classroom performance.
  • Facilitate structured, in‑branch curriculum which includes observation, coaching, and reinforcement to support real‑time skill application and ensure learning transfer into realistic environments.
  • Maintain the accuracy and relevance of all assigned training programs by reviewing materials prior to delivery, identifying content gaps, and providing actionable feedback and recommendations for curriculum enhancements to leadership.
  • Measure the effectiveness of learning programs through learner assessments, retention trends, behavioral observations, feedback data, and performance indicators. Communicate insights to leadership and recommend improvements to increase training impact.
  • Travel to branches, operations centers, and training facilities to deliver programs, support in‑branch learning, attend meetings, and ensure consistent execution of training initiatives across the footprint.
  • Complete required administrative tasks including attendance tracking, roster management, evaluations, updating WSFS University records, maintaining training spaces, and performing additional duties necessary to support training operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred (Education, Training, Human Resources, Communications, or related field).
  • 3–4 years of professional facilitation experience in systems training, soft‑skills training, or a comparable Learning & Development role required.

  • 3–4 years of facilitation experience delivering systems, soft‑skills, and role‑specific training in various settings (i.e., classroom, on-the-job, virtual, etc.) required.

  • Proven experience delivering training in both classroom, on-the-job, and virtual environments.

  • Basic instructional design experience, including updating training materials and creating job aids, guides, or assessments.
  • Preferred experience in retail banking or financial services, including knowledge of bank systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Relevant professional certifications preferred, such as ATD (e.g., APTD, CPTD), training/facilitation certifications, or other L&D‑aligned credentials.
  • Strong understanding and application of adult learning theory to create inclusive, engaging, and adaptive learning environments.
  • High level of professionalism when interacting with participants, peers, management, and external partners.
  • Coaching and mentoring skills to support in‑branch learning, reinforce performance expectations, and address behavioral or performance‑related concerns.
  • Strong time‑management, organization, and prioritization abilities, with the capacity to work independently and manage shifting priorities.
  • Proficiency with technology, including Windows, Microsoft Office, learning management systems, and the ability to learn and teach bank systems confidently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong listening and facilitation abilities.
  • Ability to analyze learner performance and measure training impact, using data, observations, and feedback to adjust delivery and improve outcomes.
  • Adaptability and problem‑solving skills to navigate unexpected situations, adjust content delivery, and support varying learner needs.
  • Must be able to travel throughout the WSFS footprint and facilitate training across classroom, virtual, and in‑branch environments.

Salary Range:

$64,491.00 - $105,949.50

Individual base pay may vary on additional factors such as the candidate’s experience, job-related skills, relevant education, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
