The Specialist, Consulting Resource Management for the Professional Services Organization (PSO) is responsible for defining and improving Resource Management processes and tools, globally, while effectively and efficiently growing, managing, and staffing Manhattan resources. The Resource Deployment Management aspect of this role assumes management of 30+ resources, including mid-year, annual reviews, career planning, staffing, etc.  Technical responsibilities of this position include requirements gathering, designing, testing, implementing, communicating, and training on new tools and features that relate to resource management. Many of the business system enhancements and implementations are conducted through Salesforce.com and FinancialForce.com. Responsibilities also include defining and providing visibility to business metrics (Bill%, Utilization, Bill/Non-Bill Hours, etc.)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct line people management, including performance management, career planning, and mentoring/coaching, for a team of 40+ team members

  • Ensures all team members are effectively onboarded and enabled for maxim productivity and billability

  • Maintains clear goals, objectives, and performance standards

  • Supports initiatives to reduce attrition and improve overall employee engagement

  • Supports collection of employee utilization and billability targets for a single (or multiple) department

  • Fosters extra development and career opportunities for Top Talent employes

  • Provide input for Promotion and Salary related decisions

  • Provide input on consideration of people development needs and career goals

  • Drive resource placement at consultant-level for optimal results

  • Support staffing team with reporting needs related to roll-off and availabilit

  • Supports campus recruiting program

  • Executes onboarding program (MA Launch) for all functional consultants

  • Leads initiatives to improve current state systems and processes (limited scale and scope)

  • Proficient level understanding of the GSA tool as it relates to the Resource Management and Staffing process flow end-to-end

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent in engineering, business, or a related field.

  • 2-4 years of experience in related field.  

  • People management or mentoring experience.

  • Experience working in a client/customer facing role and/or consulting organization.
