ERM

Consulting Associate, Environmental Engineering

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Full time

Kick‑start your environmental engineering career on projects that make a real-world difference.

At ERM, early career professionals don’t just observe impactful work—they help shape it. We’re looking for a motivated, detail‑oriented Consulting Associate, Environmental Engineering to join our growing team in Philadelphia (Malvern), PA. In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers, project managers, and partners on complex remediation projects across the Mid‑Atlantic, the U.S., and selected global locations. From design through construction and field execution, this position offers hands-on exposure to technically challenging work that supports safer, more sustainable outcomes for industrial and global clients.

Why This Role Matters?

Environmental remediation is critical to protecting communities, ecosystems, and future development. This role directly supports ERM’s mission to deliver innovative, science‑based solutions at complex contaminated sites. What Your Impact Is:

  • Support the design and execution of remediation systems for groundwater, sediment, soil, and vapor at active and inactive sites
  • Apply in‑situ and ex‑situ remediation technologies, from emerging approaches to traditional treatment systems
  • Contribute to technically rigorous projects for large industrial and global clients, gaining exposure across project lifecycles
  • Build a strong foundation in consulting, field execution, and client interaction early in your career

What You’ll Bring:

Curiosity, accountability, and a desire to learn through hands-on experience. You’re comfortable balancing office-based technical work with field assignments and collaborating with diverse teams. You take pride in delivering quality work, staying organized, and communicating clearly—whether onsite, in the office, or with clients and regulators.
