Summary:
The Consulting Analyst, Actuarial, will work within a team to provide employee benefits consulting services and perform daily account service for all assigned clients. Supports the development of the firm’s work products that benefit all clients, including the production of surveys and research on employee benefit topics and benchmarking.
Essential Duties and Functions:
- Provide technical support for projects and client engagements.
- Perform data & financial analytics, including the ownership of monthly financial reports and initial budget underwriting for less complex clients; seek and document peer review on all work.
- Coordinate the activities of RFPs, implementations, and renewals; develop and present results comparisons for presentation to clients.
- Assist in the review of internal compliance and client disclosure requirements, summary plan documents, and employee communications to ensure alignment with client expectations, legal requirements, and documentation with clients’ vendors where appropriate.
- Participate in client calls and meetings as appropriate and ensures documentation of call notes and follow-ups.
- Remain current on industry trends and information, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology.
- Provide excellent customer service to all clients.
- Promote teamwork, support, and a positive attitude in the office and with other teammates.

Qualifications:

Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- Industry experience, ideally in employee benefits consulting
- Has successfully completed one actuarial exam and is pursuing ASA designation
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a demanding work environment
- Proficient with MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Life and Health license in good standing, required within 90 days of hire
Physical Requirements Necessary on a Regular Basis
- Manual dexterity, arm, and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse, and telephone 7-8 hours per day.
- Speech and hearing sufficient for in-person and telephone communication 7-8 hours
- Vision sufficient for use of a computer monitor.
- Ability to sit at a desk 7 – 8 hours per day.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.

Pay Range
75000 - 90000 Annual
The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
