The Real-World Solutions team is focused on providing innovative solutions for Market Access, medical, and scientific teams.

The RWS Portugal team is a diverse, multi-disciplinary team dedicated to excellence through teamwork by supporting the delivery of a wide range of client projects in the pharmaceutical industry in Portugal, including medical department and/or market access projects, retrospective database studies, business strategy, patients’ registries, and other varied and exciting engagements.

Working with other team members you will:

  • Contribute to study design and methodology development.
  • Develop innovative approaches, frameworks, and solutions to client problems.
  • Assist in the preparation of study protocols and draft reports.
  • Analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative ‘real-world’ data for deliverables.
  • Conduct ad-hoc project tasks.
  • Prepare presentations, abstracts and manuscripts relating to projects including for presentation at scientific conferences and submission to scientific journals.
  • Conduct primary and secondary research.
  • Conduct workshops and moderate discussions.
  • Present results to external clients.
  • Assist with overall project management and client management.
  • Attend client and other external meetings normally accompanied by a colleague.
  • Review and analyze client requirements or problems in order to help develop proposals for projects.
  • Produce initial drafts of proposals based on client RFPs and supporting information.

*This position requires some degree of travel within Portugal (20% FTE).

Our desired profile:


Experience:

  • +2 years of experience undertaking clinical research activities at site or in the pharmaceutical industry in a relevant area such as RWE/RWD, Clinical Operations or Epidemiology.
  • Experience in at least one of the following environments: Healthcare Consultancy, Pharmaceutical or other Healthcare Industry, Academic or Governmental Research Organization, Health Services Research setting.
  • Good understanding of clinical research theory, and practical knowledge of research project implementation in Portugal.
  • Experience in conducting analyses in databases and/or registries is a plus.
  • Competency in using Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • High level of literacy – able to write reports and manuscripts in clear, accurate and concise language.
  • Commercial awareness and good understanding of the health technology and pharmaceutical industry, gained through experience.

Education Requirements:

  • PhD/Masters/MBA in relevant health sciences field
  • Clinical qualifications a plus (MD, PharmD, NP,…)
  • Fluent Portuguese and English
