This role involves leading Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) studies, conducting baseline surveys, and providing technical expertise for large-scale capital projects in Asia, including the Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in conducting ESIAs in compliance with international standards (Equator Principles, World Bank, IFC, ADB, AIIB, EBRD), including experience in baseline field activities and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities
Support the design and implementation of baseline surveys and environmental screening for EIA/ESIA studies across Asia-Pacific jurisdictions.
Supervise or coordinate environmental baseline monitoring (air, water, noise, land use, soil) in compliance with updated regional and international regulations.
Lead or take part in stakeholder engagement at National, Regional, and local community levels following international approaches to engagement and disclosure.
Analyze and interpret baseline data to identify historical trends and assess potential impacts.
Prepare Environmental and Social Management Plans (EMP/ESMP) for key environmental parameters.
Conduct Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD) and assessments aligned with international standards.
Develop corrective action plans for compliance gaps.
Collaborate with ERM global and regional teams to deliver multi-office EIA/ESIA projects.
Requirements:
Post-graduate degree (MSc, MPhil, PhD) in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Management, or related discipline.
5–9 years of experience in EIA/ESIA studies.
Previous consultancy experience with multi-disciplinary teams.
Strong background in impact assessment, advising private and government clients across Asia.
Practical knowledge of quantitative analysis tools for baseline studies and impact prediction.
Excellent report writing and communication skills; fluency in English is mandatory.
Experience in working in the Philippines and or Indonesia will be considered an advantage.
Fluency in Filipino (Tagalog) is a plus.
Willingness to travel extensively across Asia-Pacific, including fieldwork for periods exceeding 2 weeks.
