Consultant – COO Risk | ESG Tribe
The role
Are you passionate about driving meaningful change at the intersection of data, regulation, and technology? ING is looking for an ambitious and results‑driven Consultant to join the ESG Transformation & Data Distribution team within COO Risk.
In this role, you help translate complex regulatory and strategic ambitions into clear, workable change across product teams, domains, and countries. You operate where content, people, and delivery come together, ensuring that change initiatives are not only well designed, but also implemented and embedded in day‑to‑day operations. In short: you help make change stick.
The team
You will join the ESG Transformation & Data Distribution team within the ESG Tribe. The team works closely with product teams, countries, and senior stakeholders to deliver scalable ESG, CRLT, and MIS data solutions that support ING’s regulatory and strategic objectives.
Our culture is collaborative, pragmatic, and impact‑driven. We value ownership, curiosity, and open communication, and we work in an international setting where alignment across domains and locations is key.
Roles and responsibilities
As a Consultant, you will focus on driving change, steering delivery, and connecting stakeholders. Your key responsibilities include:
Driving change initiatives by designing and executing change approaches for product‑ and regulation‑driven transformations.
Translating complex strategic and regulatory requirements into clear plans, roadmaps, and actionable steps.
Supporting the implementation of new processes, operating models, and ways of working across teams and domains.
Steering ESG, CRLT, and MIS data delivery across multiple countries and domains, ensuring alignment between central strategy and local execution.
Building and maintaining a realistic end‑to‑end roadmap, making dependencies, risks, and trade‑offs transparent.
Acting as a trusted partner for stakeholders, aligning continuously on priorities, progress, and delivery strategies.
Preparing and facilitating workshops, decision moments, and senior‑level discussions.
Proactively identifying risks and issues and driving solution‑oriented problem solving to unblock progress.
Your competencies
You are curious, proactive, creative, with a strong sense of ownership and drive for delivery. You thrive in complex, international environments and are comfortable navigating ambiguity, high-pressure situations and working towards challenging deadlines as part of a high performing team.
