Overview

159 Solutions was acquired by IQVIA in 2018, and is now part of IQVIA's Real World Solutions - Emerging BioPharma (EBP) organization. Our consulting team is focused on supporting Emerging BioPharma clients with their commercial analytics and launch readiness needs across therapeutic areas.

We are a rapidly growing division within IQVIA with a sustained track record of exceeding set goals through subject matter expertise and deep knowledge of secondary data assets and analytical methods.

The team currently has about 200 team members across the US and Pune, India in supporting clients across all practice areas in the Commercial Operations organization. As a Consultant with 159 Solutions, you will be responsible to create and deliver data-driven analytical solutions for our clients. Consultants leverage their analytical, technical and communication skills to solve client’s business problems and provide high impact end-to-end statistical and consulting solutions.

Primary Location: San Mateo, CA, New York, NY, or Boston, MA - Hybrid

Primary Responsibilities

  • Consultants are primarily responsible for leading project execution by understanding the client’s problem statement, designing analysis/model framework that works best, and coordinating team meetings to communicate the model results.

  • Creating Promotion Response Models, Sales Force Sizing & Structuring, Incentive Compensation Design and Goal Setting models for our clients’ sales teams.

  • Developing prescriber targeting lists using advanced technical tools like R, Tableau, Python, SAS and Excel

  • Developing machine learning models using Random Forrest, Decision Tree, ADA Boosted algorithms to answer client's questions and communicate modeling results to clients through presentation.

  • Develop client relationships and serve as key point of contact to answer business questions from clients.

  • Mentor associates and associate consultants, guide them on advanced analytics and help define their goals and provide feedback.

  • Help with firm initiatives on recruiting, learning & development, and practice area expertise.

Qualifications

  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in management consulting, data analytics or similar roles in biotech / pharma.

  • Analytical skills with ability to translate complex analysis into strategic insights and recommendations for sales and marketing teams.

  • Proven knowledge and experience in working with healthcare data sets (IQVIA, Symphony, Secondary Market Research etc.)

  • Hands-on experience in SAS, SQL, R, Tableau, Qlikview

  • Experience with onshore/offshore staffing model preferred, but not required.

  • Results-driven with focus on excellence and quality.

  • Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree

  • Master’s in Science/Technology or MBA is preferred, but not required.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven experience managing teams and/or projects.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $90,800.00 - $151,300.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
