What you’ll be doing:

The Consultant, AML will be responsible for supporting the Senior Consultant in the governance and oversight of CIBC’s AML regulatory reporting processes. The Consultant will collaborate closely with Enterprise AML (EAML) teams and business partners across CIBC to provide guidance on requirements, controls, management reporting, applications, and processes to ensure the completeness and accuracy of data in the reporting of large cash transactions, suspicious transactions, and electronic funds transfers to FINTRAC. Working closely with the Senior Consultant, the Consultant will leverage and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of regulatory reporting to FINTRAC, with a focus on data analytics and trend identification. The incumbent will assist in identifying AML/ATF risk exposures and work with key stakeholders to support the implementation of risk mitigation initiatives, contributing to the effectiveness of CIBC’s EAML program and related reviews.

How you’ll succeed

·Understanding and documenting requirements - Facilitate elicitation sessions with Business teams and Technology partners in order to identify and document Business Requirements aligned to the Project scope, Business objectives and benefits. Utilize standard Business Analysis methodologies to create Business Requirements artifacts and facilitate signoffs from stakeholders and sponsors

·Proficient in data analysis - you are skilled in tools such as Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Databricks, SQL and Python. You can develop, automate, and visualize metrics, extract insights, interpret complex information, and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.

· Effective communication - articulate recommendation and build clear and concise presentations to help management make strategic and operational decisions.

· Stakeholder Management - foster strong relationships with management across strategic business units. Ensure broad awareness of regulatory changes and their impacts on frameworks, policies, and processes.

Who you are

· You have a degree in one or more of the following: computer science, finance, mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, economics, and/or econometrics, physics or engineering.

· You can demonstrate experience and knowledge in AML regulations and practices and related regulatory compliance including regulatory reporting to FINTRAC.
