Job Summary:

Develops and coordinates construction plans, estimates, and schedules during the project planning phase, ensuring alignment with engineering, operations, and execution requirements to support efficient and constructible project delivery.

Job Description:

  • Supports planning and estimating phases by participating in meetings and preparing high-level construction plans and deliverables to ensure alignment and readiness for execution.

  • Collaborates with engineering and operations to align execution plans, ensuring discipline-specific requirements are met.

  • Develops detailed execution documents and cost estimates to enable accurate forecasting and establish a solid foundation for project initiation.

  • Maintains cost breakdown structures and project parameters, ensuring budget adherence and scope clarity.

  • Creates and manages construction schedules, optimizing resource use and minimizing delays.

  • Follows established company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and industry regulations.

  • Participates in storm restoration tasks and assigned drills to contribute to the safe and reliable recovery of services.

  • Performs additional tasks aligned with role expectations and qualifications to support team goals and operational flexibility.

Additional Job Description:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years related work experience related to transmission line and substation construction including civil work, line and telecom foundation work and site construction management.

  • Experience with engineering discipline reviews and preparation of Construction Work packages, Construction scheduling, work plans, Outage Planning.

  • Additional experience may substitute for required education when it aligns with the competencies and knowledge necessary for the role: Associate’s degree in a relevant field may substitute when accompanied by a minimum of 5 years of experience performing similar functions and at least 3 years of experience performing a position associated to a project-support role.

Competencies (Skills)

  • Solid understanding of monitoring, tracking and reporting of project progress updates.

  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office PC applications along with Project Management tools (MS projects, Primavera P6 or TBA).

  • Excellent organizational, communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Ability to read, understand, and accurately interpret engineering drawings and technical schematics.

  • Ability to manage and complete a high volume of tasks and projects independently with minimal supervision, while responding with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require quick turnaround.

  • Ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers.

  • Bilingual, Spanish and English, is preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Valid Driver’s License
