Job Summary: Generally responsible for total delivery of services safely, on time, within performance budget and meeting quality expectations on moderately complex projects. Work at this level requires progressive experience in construction management and involves utilization of project controls for cost, schedule and quality of projects. This work will be performed under minimal supervision.
Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
The Construction Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and control of construction processes during the project's construction phase. The CM actively participates in the project team's plan of the day (POD) every morning and is responsible for all construction-related supervision and deliverables, including safety and quality compliance.
The CM integrates engineering design of the Issued for Construction Drawings (IFCs) and field construction, ensuring construction and installation are executed per the project's approved drawings and specifications.
The CM uses company and contractor expertise to find ways to reduce construction risk, improve worker productivity, lower total installation costs, and minimize on-site labor.
The CM is responsible for working with the project team to determine the best way to organize field scaffolding, fabrication, permit issuance, coordination with plant Ops as applicable, and field construction. The CM documents the execution progress per path of construction and execution plan.
The CM manages and supervises the field construction execution crew, ensuring safety, productivity, quality, field changes, and schedule, and reports to the project manager any red flags observed.
The CM leads continuous improvement efforts to enhance labor workflow, their training, site safety walks, housekeeping on site, communications between various contractors, and interfaces with them on a daily basis.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Construction Science, Building Science or related field from an accredited university is highly preferred.
Licensing: General Contractors License is highly preferred.
Experience: This position requires a minimum 10 years of relevant industrial construction management or project related experience.
