We are seeking a highly organized, proactive and agile Congress Delivery Lead to join our dynamic team as part of Roche Services & Solutions (RSS). In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the operational delivery of a diverse portfolio of global congresses. You will work in close collaboration with the Global Congress Experience Strategy (GCES) Lead, acting as the implementation driver to ensure seamless and high-quality delivery of events.
Your responsibilities will scale based on the event's strategic importance and complexity:
You will provide foundational project management support for our highest-priority, strategically pivotal global congresses (such as ESMO and ASH) - as guided by the GCES team.
You will hold full independent operational leadership for our broad portfolio of specialized medium priority events, from initial planning through final delivery.
This is a hands-on role that requires congress and exceptional project management, definitive responsibility, and the drive to deliver operational excellence in a fast-paced, global environment.

The Opportunity

  • Serve as the operational lead for complex, strategically pivotal global congresses, managing project timelines, documentation, and core team alignment.

  • Take full independent operational responsibility for medium-to-low priority events, overseeing the entire lifecycle from logistics to final delivery.

  • Manage agency and vendor relationships, ensuring partners deliver to timelines, scope, and budget requirements.

  • Exercise strict financial control by supporting budget input, management, and purchase order tracking.

  • Lead internal communication plans, including drafting newsletters and maintaining tools such as slides and gSites.

  • Drive continuous improvement by leading internal retrospectives and external agency debriefs to monitor and enhance deliverables.

  • Ensure adherence to healthcare compliance rules and regulations while managing sponsorship benefits and deadlines.

Who You Are

  • You are a driven event professional with a passion for definitive execution and a "can-do" spirit. You thrive in complex, fast-paced environments and are committed to continuous improvement.

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Congress Management, Hospitality, Communications, or a related field.

  • You bring several years of significant expertise in global congress management and tactical execution within the pharmaceutical industry or an agency setting.

  • You possess exceptional project management skills, with the ability to own internal planning trackers and manage complex projects in parallel.

  • You demonstrate strong financial stewardship and essential expertise in governing healthcare compliance rules.

  • You are fluent in English (written and spoken) and are willing to travel flexibly to support global onsite execution.
