The Configuration & Release Manager is responsible for end-to-end configuration management, build and deployment activities, and release coordination across test and production environments. The role combines technical expertise with release management, cross‑team coordination, and ownership of delivery status progression from development through production using delivery tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Configuration & Deployment Management
- Responsible for hands‑on configuration, build, and deployment activities across all test and production environments.
- Manage delivery packages, versioning, and code lifecycle using the internal tools, including parallel release and production tracks.
- Ensure technical correctness and completeness of installation packages and deployment documentation for Linux and OpenVMS platforms.
- Maintain and upgrade test and production environments in cooperation with development and operations teams.
Release Management
- Plan, coordinate, and control releases from development completion through successful production deployment.
- Ensure release plans, branching strategy, and version alignment across delivery tracks.
- Prepare and maintain release documentation including installation guides, rollback plans, and risk assessments.
- Organize and moderate meetings related to new releases
