Echodyne is seeking a Configuration Manager to join our fast-growing team! 

Echodyne is seeking a Configuration Manager in electronic assembly and radar systems to join its team. You will be working in a fast-paced environment developing next generation RADAR systems.  As an integral component of our Quality Management System, the Configuration Manager will ensure the CM process is rolled out and used by all departments within the organization and other areas as necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own configuration management and change control for production radar assemblies and systems
  • Maintain accurate EBOMs, MBOMs, and as-built configurations for complex, serialized products in the PLM system
  • Engages with strategic projects to ensure Configuration Management can deliver required functionality within project timeframes
  • Mentors the organization on Configuration Management services, concepts, policies and procedures
  • Administer the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, reviewing and approving Change Orders
  • Manage engineering and manufacturing change processes (ECRs, ECOs, deviations, and waivers)
  • Along with the Manufacturing Quality Engineers, ensure alignment between PLM, ERP, and shop floor documentation
  • Collaborate with NPI teams during the part number configuration process
  • Lead Change Control Board (CCB) activities, ensuring disciplined evaluation and implementation of changes
  • Collect and report metrics as required and support manufacturing, and test areas with trusted configuration data
  • Identifies and reports noncompliance situations
  • Other related duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (electrical, mechanical, material science), technical science (radar systems), or equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience
  • 4 years’ directly relevant experience, with a minimum of 2 years of recent prior experience in a high-tech environment
  • Strong experience managing complex electro-mechanical BOMs
  • Familiarity with CM standards and methodologies (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 10007, IEEE 828)
  • Experience with version control systems, PLM, ERP and CM tools
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of good documentation practices (GDT)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities working with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to process changes while maintaining the integrity of the BOM with minimal disruption

DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE 
(Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills) 

  • Advanced degree (MS and/or MBA)
  • Prior experience working with electrical, mechanical, and/or electro-mechanical commodities
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification
  • Ability to work independently with minor guidance and under pressure
  • Radar, RF, aerospace, or defense manufacturing
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 / AS9100 or EIA-649 configuration standards

WHAT WE OFFER
The pay range for this position is $101,000 - $151,300 annually.
