We are seeking a Configuration and Data Management Officer to support configuration management activities across Electronic Warfare (EW), Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD), Counter-Uncrewed Air System (C-UAS) and Communications Systems projects.

This role sits within our Rapid Capability Delivery organisation, where teams work at pace to design, integrate, trial, and deliver capability in response to evolving operational needs. You will provide configuration and data management support that enables multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver compliant and traceable capability outcomes.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop project configuration and data management plans and processes in line with ASDEFCON requirements 
  • Manage project related tools, information systems, and bills of materials 
  • Manage and maintain the program’s design data, technical baselines, engineering changes and approved configuration. 
  • Facilitate Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings and manage/track the outputs and changes - e.g. Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) 
  • Prepare and participate in product technical design reviews and audits as required. 
  • Capture and maintain Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) information to support audit readiness and informed decision‑making
  • Ensure integrity of the data set/configuration environment via regular audits 
  • Maintain the necessary controls for the security, export control and intellectual property of technical data. 

Skills, Experience and Qualifications 

  • Configuration management in an ASDEFCON environment 
  • Familiarity and understanding of industry configuration management standards 
  • Ability to communicate clearly with program stakeholders to obtain, interpret, and provide configuration and data information
  • Capability to provide guidance and assistance to less experienced professionals and/or support employees. 
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain Australian Government (Defence) Security Clearance up to Negative Vetting Level 1. Eligibility can be found at https://www.agsva.gov.au/applicants/eligibility-suitability
