Concrete Dispatch Coordinator (Remote Batching)

Location: Central Office, Cardiff

We are seeking a proactive and customer‑focused Concrete Dispatch Coordinator to join our centralised remote batching team in Cardiff. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of industry innovation, remotely operating a network of concrete batching plants using the latest technology while delivering outstanding customer service.

Purpose of the Role

Working closely with colleagues across the business, you will remotely operate multiple concrete batching plants from our Cardiff office. Using advanced CCTV and IT infrastructure, you will be responsible for producing concrete to the highest quality standards while ensuring customers receive a seamless, professional, and responsive service.

Key Responsibilities

Remote Batching & Operations

  • Remotely batch and load concrete using state‑of‑the‑art Robotix CCTV and IT systems

  • Oversee batching procedures in line with Procedures Manuals, Working Instructions and Technical Instructions

  • Work closely with Plant Supervisors to support site operations and ensure sufficient material availability

  • Understand the forward order book, forecasted sales volumes, and operational capacity to support business plans and budgets

Customer Service & Order Management

  • Manage all incoming calls and emails professionally, taking full ownership of customer enquiries

  • Accurately capture customer requirements and process orders efficiently

  • Create, amend, and confirm customer orders for both account and cash sales

  • Negotiate realistic delivery times based on production and vehicle availability

  • Keep customers informed at every stage and provide tailored, personal service

Collaboration & Teamwork

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external customers

  • Support colleagues and contribute positively to team ethos

  • Be multi‑skilled and develop knowledge across roles and business areas to provide cover when required

  • Escalate customer issues appropriately when outside your authority or control

Compliance, Safety & Quality

  • Ensure operations comply with Group and Regional procedures and fraud prevention policies

  • Report any defects, incidents, or concerns relating to health & safety, environment, product quality, or service

  • Maintain full compliance with health & safety, environmental, quality control, and fraud prevention policies

General

  • Professionally liaise with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high service standards

  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by management

Education & Qualifications

  • GCSE Grade 4 or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English
