As an Electrical Engineer, you are responsible for designing, modifying, and troubleshooting electrical or electronic engineering assemblies, layouts, schematics, and drawings to advance the equipment that supports our technology. Using your technical experience and critical thinking skills, you will perform engineering analysis, generate test reports, develop innovative solutions, and create documentation for product releases. You will also coordinate the procurement and assembly of components, identify sources of critical parts, and resolve technical issues to ensure peak performance.

 

 

We’re looking for a talented Computing hardware NPI Engineer to lead the transition of breakthrough technologies from development to production in Applied Materials’ PDC (Process Diagnostics and Control) products

What’s in it for you?
You will provide and develop solutions for computing, network, and storage hardware requirements. Your work will directly impact and improve the performance of PDC’s products. The high sensitivity requirements in computing, networks, and storage will challenge you to integrate your knowledge and insights, combining these technologies into Applied Materials products.

Our group:
The computing R&D group designs and develops the servers, network, and storage devices that form the heart of Applied Materials PDC (Process Diagnostics and Control) products during the R&D phase.

What you'll be doing?

  • Plan the next generations of industry-leading platforms’ computing hardware

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure production readiness

  • Define computing hardware specifications to meet technical requirements

  • Manage the transition from development to manufacturing

  • Identify and resolve obstacles to keep projects on track

What you should have?

  • BSc/BA in computing, Electronics, or related field

  • 7+ years’ hands-on experience in NPI processes

  • Experience with BoM creation and TeamCenter (or equivalent)

  • Deep understanding of computing technologies and production workflows

  • Analytical, communicative, and adept at presenting technical concepts

  • Self-driven, adaptable, and effective in a matrix environment

  • Strong communication skills; able to present technical ideas/concepts clearly.

  • Effective in a matrix environment; able to influence and collaborate.
