The Opportunity:
Join the United States Capitol Police (USCP) as a Senior Tier II Computer Specialist and play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our cutting-edge technology infrastructure. 0600 - 1800 Hours - Shift work! Travel is involved.
Responsibilities:
Implement, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop, laptop, and tablet systems across the USCP's distributed computer environment
Install and configure hardware, software, and peripherals for networked and stand-alone environments
Provide expert technical support and guidance to USCP users on various computer systems and software
Manage the lifecycle of computer equipment, including preparation for reuse, refresh as part of the Capital Equipment Refresh Program (CERP), and proper disposal
Administer and test standardized hardware, software, and network configurations
Coordinate equipment relocation during office moves
Qualifications:
Required:
Must be an US Citizen and pass OBIC Criminal Check
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience in a similar IT support role
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows 11, Microsoft Office 365, and Exchange/Outlook
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for hardware and software issues
Experience with trouble-ticketing systems
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Desired:
Experience supporting local and wide area networks
Familiarity with mobile platforms and tablet devices
Knowledge of IT asset management practices
Experience providing remote technical support

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
