Iron Mountain is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Computer Refurbishment Technician.
In this role, you will be responsible for the full restoration of pre-owned hardware to its original operating capacity, ensuring every unit meets our rigorous quality assurance standards before resale. You will join a dedicated technical team focused on extending the life of technology and supporting sustainable hardware solutions for our clients.
In this role, you will:
Execute high-volume hardware restoration: Perform on-site refurbishment of used computers, including Random Access Memory (RAM) and Read-Only Memory (ROM) upgrades to ensure optimal system performance.
Conduct comprehensive quality inspections: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to identify physical defects such as screen bruising or casing damage, ensuring all units are restored to their original condition.
Manage system deployment: Load and configure operating systems on refurbished hardware to prepare devices for immediate resale and client use.
The ideal candidate will have:
2+ years of experience in computer hardware repair, bench work, or technical refurbishment.
Strong knowledge of computer components and the ability to perform manual hardware upgrades and system installations.
Proven ability in technical troubleshooting and identifying physical hardware defects to maintain high quality-control standards.
