Job Description:

The Compute Sales Representative will drive sales of enterprise compute technologies, infrastructure architectures, and workload-optimized solutions to energy industry accounts across Texas. This role focuses on supporting the digital transformation, data modernization, and hybrid IT strategies of oil, gas, and energy infrastructure companies. Success requires deep understanding of compute platforms, storage integration, and performance optimization across on-premises and cloud environments.

You will collaborate closely with regional account teams, product engineering, solution architects, and strategic channel partners to create and execute winning go-to-market plans specific to the Texas energy market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect, develop, and close sales opportunities with energy producers, service providers, and infrastructure operators in Texas.
  • Partner with compute engineers and solution architects to deliver technical presentations, proof-of-value engagements, and tailored solution proposals.
  • Identify opportunities around workload modernization, compute refresh, and high-performance architecture adoption.
  • Build and execute account penetration strategies to expand compute system footprint across data center and field operations.
  • Negotiate pricing, deal structures, and enterprise agreements aligned with revenue and margin objectives.
  • Maintain precise pipeline forecasting and CRM accuracy to support regional reporting.
  • Represent the organization at key energy and technology industry conferences in Texas (Houston, Dallas, Austin).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years in enterprise technology or infrastructure sales, including experience selling compute, server, or hybrid cloud solutions.
  • Proven success driving growth within large enterprise customers, ideally within the energy, oil & gas, or utilities sectors.
  • Strong technical fluency in compute architectures, virtualization technologies, and hybrid IT models.
  • Experience collaborating with pre-sales engineering and technical solution teams on complex infrastructure and modernization deals.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with hardware and compute vendors such as HPE, Dell Technologies, Lenovo, or SuperMicro.
  • Industry certifications from major CSPs (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with OEM and channel partner sales motions relevant to the energy vertical.
  • Consistent performance meeting or exceeding multi-million-dollar annual sales targets.

USD Annual Salary: $109,500.00 - $252,500.00
