This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description:

As Compute Category Business Development Manager (BDM) you are responsible for local Demand and Lead Generation. Further focus is on Segment Sales and Channel Partner Enablement. You work closely with the Central Compute Category Portfolio Management Team, the Central funding Team and Alliance Manager.

In detail we are talking about:

  • Local execution and market intelligence
  • Focus on mainstream portfolio expertise
  • Championship for specific topics or project across
  • Representation of Compute solutions & workloads portfolio
  • Interface btw. core Central Category Team and WW to local sales teams,
  • Compute strategy comms and deal support, support installed base campaigns
  • Participation at sales/channel meetings, workshops, internal, customer/partner events, representation of Compute sol. portfolio
  • Monitor bus. performance vs. goals, develop and drive initiatives to close gaps or overachieve goals, question status quo and try out new approaches, document goals and initiatives in a business plan

Responsibilities:

  • Participates in business planning with manager/ Sales
  • Works with and leverages internal partners to deliver the business results.
  • May interface with any level in sales organization.
  • Product line and quota responsibility limited to a low complexity/low impact part of the business.
  • Functional responsibility for the team may be assigned (market analysis, marketing engagement, SF communication etc).

If you have these Skills, Expertise, Attitude and Education…

  • University or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Profound IT industry knowledge and first sales experience
  • Knowledge of the Compute Market and HPE Compute offerings
  • Business planning skills
  • Financial planning and modelling skills, comfortable to manage business planning and reporting
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of promotional marketing processes and practices
  • Business fluency in German and English language
