About the opportunity:
We are looking to hire a Compound & Logistics Manager who is keen to join Amentum to complement our existing project delivery team. The Compound & Logistics Manager is responsible for the supervision, direction and monitoring of day-to-day operations in the site compound, ensuring that all logistics required for delivery are coordinated and working effectively to the delivery program. The candidate will aid in managing our compound day to day, working closely with the Storeman, Materials Controller, as well as other key logistical areas to ensure the delivery of the project runs smoothly and without delays. The Compound & Logistics Manager will report to the Procurement & Logistics Lead and will work closely with the Construction Manager to ensure site needs are met. This is a shift based role and will be on a 10 day on, 4 day off rotation.
Other responsibilities:
Coordinating purchasing of materials and consumables.
Coordinating the call-off of client supplied equipment ensuring all relevant records (delivery/condition/check out) are kept.
Ensure all stock levels are maintained sufficiently for business continuity.
Ensure work equipment is maintained in accordance with statutory regulations (PUWER/LOLER) and compliant records are kept.
Developing Safe Systems of work and RAMS for tasks carried out in compound area, including PVPI controls.
Coordinating delivery of materials and organising delivery receipting with the Storeman and Amentum IT systems.

Here’s What You’ll Need
A recognised qualification in construction (C&G/Degree/HNC/HND or Equivalent)
Relevant CSCS or CCNSG card
Membership of relevant professional body
Experienced in using IT, Microsoft software, and ability to learn Amentum specific IT systems
Experience in the Nuclear and Defence sector very desirable
UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
