Compliance Specialist

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Specialist with at least 2 years of experience to support our global compliance program. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our organization maintains ethical and regulatory standards when engaging with external partners, vendors, and suppliers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting screening and due diligence of high-risk third parties, monitoring adherence to internal policies and external regulations, and facilitating training and communication with various stakeholders in the Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) program. Additional responsibilities include supporting the review of gift and hospitality requests, conflict of interest disclosure forms, and providing functional support across other compliance initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Third-Party Risk Management

  • Conduct third-party screenings using internal tools and external databases to identify potential risks.
  • Perform due diligence assessments on vendors, suppliers, agents, and other third parties in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and update third-party risk profiles, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Collaborate with procurement, legal, and business units to ensure appropriate risk mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Monitor ongoing third-party relationships for changes in risk status or compliance concerns.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of third-party compliance policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards for management on third-party risk trends and compliance metrics.

Gift & Hospitality

  • Review and assess gifts, hospitality, and entertainment requests submitted by employees
  • Ensure requests comply with internal policies, anti-corruption regulations (e.g., FCPA, UK Bribery Act), and local laws.
  • Maintain accurate records of approvals, denials, and escalations.
  • Support the development and delivery of training materials related to gifts and hospitality compliance.
  • Identify trends and recommend improvements to policies and procedures.

Conflict of Interest Disclosure

  • Review and assess conflict of interest disclosure forms submitted by employees, contractors, and third parties.
  • Identify potential conflicts and escalate issues as appropriate for further review or mitigation.
  • Maintain accurate records of disclosures, assessments, and resolutions.
  • Support the development and delivery of COI-related training and awareness programs.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of COI policies, procedures, and workflows.

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, International Relations, Ethics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in compliance due diligence focused on antibribery
  • Familiarity with third-party screening tools (e.g., World-Check, LexisNexis, Dow Jones Risk & Compliance).
  • Understanding of global anti-corruption laws (e.g., FCPA, UK Bribery Act) and sanctions regimes.
  • Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail are required, along with proven experience in data analysis using Power BI or Tableau dashboards and advanced Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Experience with another language such as Spanish, German, or Chinese a plus.
  • Possess a high energy level and strong work ethic with a commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic and changing environment that strives to exceed expectations.
  • Strong leadership skills, quick learner who can handle multiple priorities and work both independently and as member of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, including managerial courage, dealing with ambiguity.
  • MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a multinational or regulated industry.
  • Certification in compliance or risk management (e.g., CCEP, CAMS, ICA).

Work Environment & Flexibility:

This position offers work flexibility, with core collaboration hours overlapping with USA Central time zone. While some meetings and deadlines may require availability during USA Central time business hours, the role allows for flexible scheduling to accommodate personal and regional time differences.
