The Security & EHS Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of Security and EHS functions. This position will provide site EHS operations support and technical leadership, oversee the site’s Security program and serve as the point of contact with DCSA. The role requires the ability to partner with and influence both plant leadership and hourly employees. Candidates must be able to positively represent EHS and Security to internal and external stakeholders. Proven leadership and management skills, excellent oral and written communication abilities, and a demonstrated capacity to lead and contribute in a team-based environment are essential.

EH&S

The Environmental, Health, and Safety Supervisor will plan, administer, and supervise an ongoing environmental, safety, and health program in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act, EPA requirements, and applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as Materion’s EHS systems, processes, and programs.  The position directs the organization's EHS efforts to protect employees and the Company against harm, to maintain safe working conditions and reduce our environmental footprint; formulates and implements work standards and enforces procedures; identifies risk prevention areas including hazardous materials exposure, accidents, fires, or other unsafe conditions; ensures compliance and reporting requirements of all applicable federal or state regulations; supports public relations initiatives and outreach efforts; supports local EHS staff to help ensure achievement of their objectives; and advises management on EHS concerns and problem corrections.

Lead and oversee Environmental and Safety programs and will be directly responsible for providing leadership, direction, and support to Westford in Environmental and Safety arenas.

Security

Security responsibilities include effective management of the day-to-day operations of the Security function and ensures the safety and security of people, valuable materials, and classified documents about the Westford, MA and Tyngsboro, MA facilities. This role identifies and analyzes risks associated with factory operations. Manages the development and execution of all security procedures and protocols and assists plant leadership with compliance with all US Government requirements related to DCSA Facility Clearance processes.

Supervise and assist in the day-to-day operation of alarms, badging, and access control equipment.  This  includes coordinating visits with service vendors and contractors.

Coordinate the daily Security activities and other operations pertaining to security.  Ensure security incident reports are managed in accordance with company requirements and escalate as required.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in EH&S
- 2+ year's full-time work experience in an EH&S role

- Experience in designing and implementing EH&S systems

This position requires the eligibility to obtain security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. For individuals to be considered for a security clearance, the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), conducts personnel security background investigations for the Department of Defense and other federal agencies. Salary range: $80,000-90,000*
*The salary range listed is a guide for this position and may vary depending on experience, education, geographic location, and other qualifications. The final offer will be determined based on the candidate's individual merits and the company's compensation policies.


 

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
