The Compliance Risk Advisor plays a key role in supporting the execution of centralized compliance programs and the Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) framework for CIBC Bank USA. This position is responsible for monitoring regulatory developments, managing compliance risks, and leading initiatives related to business continuity and records management.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of centralized compliance programs, including regulatory developments, risk mitigation, issues management, business continuity, and records management.
  • Monitor and analyze regulatory developments, identifying relevant state laws and regulations applicable to CIBC Bank USA.
  • Collaborate with the compliance team to assess the impact of regulatory changes and support the development of mitigation strategies.
  • Serve as the team’s lead for business continuity and records management, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Support the identification, tracking, and resolution of compliance issues, ensuring timely escalation and remediation.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) framework.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management on compliance risks, regulatory changes, and program effectiveness.
  • Foster a culture of compliance and risk awareness across business units.
  • Reporting into the CCO, you will have the opportunity to work on Special Projects.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related discipline within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with business continuity and records management programs preferred.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $100,000 - $115,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
