ADI is seeking an experienced lawyer to serve as Compliance Counsel under Ethics, Compliance and Enterprise Risk that will report directly to the Chief Compliance Officer. This role will work with global, cross-functional teams of in-house lawyers, paralegals and other legal and risk specialists and support staff.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Regulatory Compliance Monitoring:
Design and execute risk‑based annual monitoring plans tied to the enterprise compliance risk assessment.
Monitor regulatory developments covering compliance risks and assess their impact on business operations.
ISO-aligned Compliance Management System:
Support initiatives to align compliance programs with ISO 37301 standard.
Support internal and external audits, monitor corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement efforts.
Ethics Investigations:
Manage end‑to‑end intake, triage, planning, interviews, evidence analysis, and reporting.
Safeguard confidentiality, privilege, and process integrity; and coordinate cross‑functionally on remedial actions.
Analyze trends and root causes; and recommend policy, training, and control enhancements.
Third-Party Due Diligence:
Support implementation of a risk‑tiered diligence program for candidates, intermediaries, vendors, distributors, and business partners.
Ensure compliance with anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and sanctions regulations.
Data Privacy & Protection:
Support implementation of privacy policies and incident response protocols.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration and successful management of multiple stakeholders.
Appetite and aptitude for nimbleness, aptitude to succeed by applying technical legal skills across subject matters.
Excellent business-oriented judgment and the ability to analyze problems, propose resolutions, and provide advice that is creative, practical and legally acceptable, considering the needs and objectives of the business.
Exceptional business partnership skills, including written and verbal communication skills.
Highest standards of ethics and professional integrity.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong academic credentials, including a J.D. degree from an accredited law school, and membership in good standing in the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, plus 5+ years of corporate compliance.
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the global organization, as well as with internal and external clients.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with a history of advising real-time in meetings, providing accurate guidance and pragmatic solutions.
Strong analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and overall project management (from conception to completion) skills.
Fluency in English required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, and reasoning) and executive presence.
Ability to travel, as needed, both in region and internationally (up to 25%).
High degree of systems proficiency (including MS Office Suite, Outlook and Internet applications).
Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance-related policies and procedures.
Certification such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP/CCEP -I) is desirable.
Experience with artificial intelligence is a plus.
