Abbott Rapid Diagnostics – Infectious Disease business is currently recruiting for a brand new Compliance Coordinator, who will support the commercial business in Europe based in Abbott House, Maidenhead.
What You’ll Do
As a Compliance Coordinator you play a key role in supporting business integrity and operational compliance by ensuring that supplier data, invoice validation processes, and vendor-related activities adhere to internal policies and regulatory standards. The role serves as a liaison between internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Market access, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Finance) and supports key compliance processes through documentation, validation, and system coordination. More specifically:
- Compliance Oversight
Analyze diverse business transactions to ensure adherence to Abbott policies and industry standards. Provide expert guidance on compliance matters and support management in mitigating risks. - Risk Management & Advisory
Proactively identify, assess, and address potential compliance risks across multiple business areas. Recommend and facilitate corrective actions to maintain operational integrity. - Policy Execution & Training
Assist OEC leadership in developing compliance execution plans. Deliver training programs on OEC policies and procedures, ensuring completion tracking and understanding across teams. - Data Analysis & Reporting
Utilize data analysis tools and problem-solving techniques to monitor compliance trends, prioritize risk assessments, and develop actionable insights. Maintain compliance metrics and coordinate remediation plans. - Vendor Master Data Management
Manage supplier onboarding and updates by routing approvals, processing Vendor Create and Change Forms, and ensuring data accuracy in alignment with procurement policies. - Invoice Validation & Controls
Perform daily invoice validations to confirm proper approvals and documentation. Identify discrepancies, resolve compliance issues, and lead weekly coordination meetings with Procurement and Accounts Payable to ensure timely resolution. - Policy Adherence & Audit Support
Ensure strict adherence to internal controls and SOPs related to procurement and finance. Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and assist in fulfilling auditor requests. - Process Improvement
Continuously identify gaps or inefficiencies in supplier and invoice management processes. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance compliance and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications/Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
- Experience in compliance coordination, procurement support, finance operations, or audit roles with exposure to business functions such as compliance, legal, regulatory affairs, governmental affairs, and finance.
- Knowledge of vendor management and financial documentation standards.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and invoice processing tools (e.g., Esker) is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite including but not limited to Excel file management, PowerPoint presentations.
- Experience working in medical device or life sciences industry, a strong plus.
