The Team:

You will join the global Competitive Engagement team, a high-impact, strategic unit within the Value Engineering (VE) organization. We are evolving from a service-based team to a Product-Led GTM engine. Our mission is to ensure Celonis maintains its market leadership in Process Intelligence & conquering the Enterprise AI market by winning the most complex competitive deals and building the Applied AI products that empower the broader Go-To-Market (GTM) organization to win autonomously.

The Role:

You are a hybrid of a Competitive Strategist, Solution Engineer, and an AI Product Lead. You don't just build scripts; you architect the "GTM Agent" layer that allows thousands of Celonauts to outmaneuver the competition through self-service intelligence.

The work you’ll do:

  • Competitive Deal Orchestration & Advisory: Act as a strategic advisor to Global Account Teams on Tier-1 competitive opportunities. You will orchestrate the winning strategy behind the scenes, providing tactical guidance and technical differentiation. While your primary impact is internal advisory, you have the executive presence to engage directly with customers for high-stakes meetings or critical value read-outs.
  • RFP Innovation & Automation: Lead the orchestration of strategic RFPs and, more importantly, build the AI-driven tools that automate them. You will design "Proposal Builders" and automated response agents to transform a manual, high-effort process into a scalable competitive advantage.
  • Scalable Enablement (“Build Once, Enable Thousands”): You will facilitate global competitive enablements (especially Go-to-Market). In addition, you adopt a mindset of industrialization. Instead of answering the same technical competitive question 10 times manually, you build a self-service tool that answers it 1,000 times for the entire global field. 
  • Agentic Product Development: Build and deploy Self-Service AI Agents (LLM-based) that automate the "pre-game" and "post-game" of a competitive sales cycle. This includes agents that ingest customer data to output "Celonis vs. Competitor X" value hypotheses or tools that scan 10-Ks to generate tailored discovery briefs.
  • Market Intelligence & Category Leadership: Deeply immerse yourself in the Process Intelligence and Enterprise AI markets. You will support the analysis of market shifts and competitor moves to feed critical insights back to our Product and Executive teams, directly helping shape the future of the Celonis roadmap and the PI category. This includes facilitating our analyst evaluations, such as the Gartner MQ.

The qualifications you need:

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in solution engineering, management consulting, technical pre-sales, competitive intelligence, or a fast-paced technology environment.
  • Strategic & Advisory Mindset: Proven ability to advise global account teams and navigate complex stakeholder environments. You know how to orchestrate a winning deal strategy from the background, but can jump into a customer meeting when the stakes are highest.
  • Builder DNA: You are an entrepreneur at heart. You identify manual friction points, and your first instinct is to build a tool that automates them for everyone.
  • Technical Foundation & Hunger to Learn: You have a relentless drive to master new technologies. You should bring at least basic knowledge or hands-on experience in SQL and/or Python, with the desire to grow these skills in an Applied AI context.
  • Market Curiosity: A strong desire to master the Process Intelligence landscape and the broader Enterprise AI ecosystem. You want to understand not just how the technology works, but why it wins in a competitive market.
  • Communication: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into a compelling "Value Story" that non-technical sales reps and customers can easily understand
