We are seeking a Compensation Specialist to join our team in Rio de Janeiro, supporting the design and delivery of competitive, equitable, and transparent compensation programs at Viridien.

This role will primarily support the NALA region (North America and Latin America), while also contributing to global compensation initiatives and transformation projects.

About the Team

As part of our Global Compensation team, you will play a key role in shaping how Viridien rewards performance and supports talent attraction and retention.

You will act as a trusted partner to HR Business Partners, Finance, and Talent Acquisition, enabling data-driven compensation decisions aligned with our governance, values, and growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze internal and external compensation data to support pay decisions
  • Design and maintain salary structures, pay ranges, and incentive programs
  • Participate in market benchmarking and compensation surveys (e.g., Mercer, WTW)
  • Provide financial modeling and cost analysis for offers, promotions, and program changes
  • Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition to develop competitive offers
  • Ensure compliance with compensation regulations and pay transparency requirements
  • Support annual compensation cycles (merit increases, bonuses, equity programs)
  • Calculate and administer short- and long-term incentive plans
  • Deliver training to HR and managers on compensation policies and tools
  • Maintain compensation policies, frameworks, and documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in compensation or a related HR discipline
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., modeling, data analysis)
  • Experience with HRIS platforms (Workday preferred)
  • Familiarity with market data providers (e.g., Mercer, WTW) and benchmarking practices
  • Solid understanding of compensation frameworks, regulations, and pay transparency principles
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and communication skills
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English (written and spoken)
  • International exposure or experience in global/matrix environments is a plus
