Compensation Consultant – National Branch Network

About the Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Compensation Consultant to support the National Branch Network within the Consumer Banking and Lending Total Rewards team. In this role, you will help design and deliver compensation solutions that align with business objectives, drive performance, and reinforce enterprise expectations. This is an excellent opportunity to influence compensation strategy and partner across Human Resources to support key organizational priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that enhance compensation programs and support business performance.

  • Apply independent judgment while gaining expertise in compensation policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Manage moderate‑risk compensation deliverables and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.

  • Partner with Total Rewards, HR, and business leaders to resolve issues and achieve shared objectives.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities through root-cause analysis and metrics review.

  • Build and maintain scalable processes, controls, and reporting to strengthen compensation operations.

  • Research and evaluate moderately complex business or operational challenges.

  • Conduct compensation analyses, including pay modeling and forecasting.

  • Prepare presentations and communications for stakeholders at all levels.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of compensation or analytics experience, or equivalent experience through work, training, military service, or education.

Desired Qualifications

  •  Compensation or broader Human Resources experience, with familiarity in supporting HR programs or processes.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint to analyze data and create clear presentations.

  • Experience working with large, sensitive data sets while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

  • National Branch Network experience

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail to ensure reliable compensation insights.

  • Experience using Workday for reporting or supporting compensation workflows.

  • Familiarity with the financial services industry and its regulatory considerations.

  • Ability to adapt to organizational change and operate effectively in a dynamic environment.

  • Strong collaboration skills, including working with partners such as legal, risk, and control.

  • Experience developing or improving processes and procedures for efficiency and consistency.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills across various audiences.

  • Experience using Power BI to create visual reports or dashboards.

 Job Expectations:

  • Relocation is not available for this position.

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$68,000.00 - $114,000.00
