Using Our Promise as a guiding light, the Community Relations Coordinators primary responsibility is development and execution of innovative community-based educational programming geared toward pediatric healthcare. This is a servant minded position that will collaborate with a variety of internal departments and external professional relationships to better position Cook Children’s in the market. The coordinator will market pre-determined objectives centered on system initiatives and growth strategies to create and maintain strong relationships in targeted growing communities where Cook Children’s has a presence. Key areas include but are not limited to system initiatives, school based tele-medicine, primary care, urgent care and C.A.R.E. team service lines. This grass roots marketing opportunity includes working to position Cook Children’s in front of appropriate targeted audiences. The individual in this position should develop a deep understanding of Cook Children’s Health Care System service line offerings while identifying points of intersection that drive value back to the organization with minimal impact on operations. This position operates with a great deal of autonomy under a metrics based system. Time commitments for this position include evenings and weekends as dictated by scheduled events. Flexible scheduling is allowed due to the nature of community based event planning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, event planning or other health care related field preferred.

  • 2-5 years of sales/marketing, health care experience, or event planning required.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, relationship building capabilities, and event planning skills are a must.

  • Position will require some weekends, after-hours, and travel.

  • Must be organized and analytical, have a positive attitude and have the ability to identify and execute innovative approaches to programming.

Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines a must.
