Community Programs Specialist - The Cigna Group Foundation

The Community Programs Specialist (Senior Analyst level) is an exciting opportunity to join the enterprise team that supports programs and initiatives that deliver on our purpose-driven mission across The Cigna Group Foundation corporate giving, employee-connected giving and volunteerism. This role reports to the Director, Community Programs/Vice President of The Cigna Group Foundation, and is primarily responsible for supporting the financial execution of community investments such as invoice payments as well as supporting employee benefit programs such as matching gifts and team initiatives such as volunteerism. 

Responsibilities

  • Accounts payable and monitoring of community investments such as :
    • Manage the accounts payable process for all related invoices and payments through third party vendors for efforts led by the community programs team, inclusive of The Cigna Group Foundation. This includes follow-up to confirm payment and track accordingly in the community programs dashboard for ongoing referral and reporting.
    • Support the monthly and quarterly budget status and reconciliation process across all pillars of community programs and  inclusive of relationship management with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Support reporting and modeling to demonstrate real time status as well as projections.
  • Employee benefit programs such as:
    • Monitor matching gifts submissions and report monthly participation data in the community programs dashboard for ongoing referral and report outs.
    • Manage healthy lifestyle donation program including employee inquiry support, review of submissions and approval process according to guidelines, and report monthly participation data in the community programs dashboard for ongoing referral and report outs.
    • Support The Cigna Group Scholarship program inclusive of annual program coordination with a third-party organization that reviews applications and awards funds for scholarships and quarterly management.
    • Support our connection to the Employee Relief Fund inclusive of Foundation contribution and quarterly reporting in collaboration with human resources colleagues.
  • Support the community programs team with special projects and operational capacity.
  • Be an active participant in weekly team meetings, contributing to the short- and long-term goals of enterprise Community Programs.

Ideal candidates will offer:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years experience in a role that demonstrates strong proficiency in using excel and other project management tools that involve formulas and calculations,
  • Technical proficiency in identifying, deploying, and managing AI tools and platforms, with a focus on enhancing operations, automating workflows, and supporting data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong proficiency in depicting insights at an executive level in powerpoint or other delivery formats.
  • Experience with Oracle and Benevity is highly desired but not required.
  • Results and detail-oriented with exceptional follow-up skills, and the ability to relate to a  variety of audiences, internally and externally.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and flexibility in a fast-paced, complex matrixed work environment.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management, including the ability to work independently and prioritize workload consistently and appropriately.
  • A positive attitude with a proactive approach to accomplishing objectives and inspiring colleagues in achieving shared goals, as well as pitching in to help the larger team accomplish goals and work assignments, when needed.
  • Ability to work onsite at least 3 days a week, as directed by the business
