Build community through planning and implementing community building activities for participants including eating meals with participants.
Support program faculty with in-class needs, including group work, class assignments, and technology.
CEAs are expected to be engaging, visible, and accessible to participants and the program on a daily basis throughout the duration of the Pre-Collegiate Program.
Support scheduled arrival and departure days, including the logistical preparation for each day. Participate in weekly participant orientations.
Manage administrative tasks, including but not limited to rosters, keys, delivering mail/items to participants, check in and check out sheets, linen distribution and confiscation, purchasing, and event logistics.
Live in the residence hall throughout duration of the program. Participate in nightly residential room checks.
Report unsafe and inappropriate behavior.
Participate in after-hours on-call duty rotation for emergencies and immediately address student needs.
Participate in after-hours hospital on-call schedule rotation.
Attend weekly staff meetings and one-on-one meetings with the AAC or AC.
Facilitate regular floor meetings and individual participant check-ins.
Complete paperwork including incident reports, program proposals/ flyers, etc.
Assist with and participate in large social events and off-campus excursions (day, evening, weekends as scheduled).
Chaperone various events including class sessions, study sessions, class field trips, etc.
Those CEAs who meet the qualifications for driving a college vehicle may be expected to do so, potentially transporting participants.
Attend mandatory training prior to the Pre-Collegiate Program.
Assume additional responsibilities as required and/or assigned.

Must have completed at least one year of college by June 2026 (rising sophomore, junior, or senior) and be currently matriculated in a current undergraduate program.

HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORK:
While the deadline to apply is April 15, 2026, qualified candidates will be hired on a first apply, first hired basis. Applicants will be notified via email if they have been selected for an interview.
Successful applicants must arrive at Babson College on July 5, 2026 by 2pm and be able to remain on campus throughout the duration of the program.
This is a full-time, temporary position working approximately 20-30 hours per week July into August 2026. This position will live on campus with a single room and full meal plan while employed.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS YOU MAY HAVE:
Knowledge of the Babson environment, preferably as a current matriculated student or Babson Pre-Collegiate program alum.
Previous experience working with high school students as an RA, camp counselor, tutor preferred.
Prior residential/student affairs experience is also desirable.
This is a non-exempt position with the following pay rate of $15.00. This position includes paid sick leave where required by law. Eligibility, accrual, and usage will follow applicable state and local regulations.
