Job Summary

Responsible for providing White Cap critical communications and administrative support to support the education and engagement of internal and external audiences on behalf of a fast-growing organization.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Supports companywide campaigns and processes, provides support for companywide events including but not limited to, organizational announcements, town hall presentations, and weekly newsletters.

  • Partners with internal stakeholders to support the development and execution of communications plans for internal audiences focused on process-based and technical communications that including, but not limited to, IT, Finance, Operations, and Integration activities.

  • Executes thoughtful communications plans to support a growing business.

  • Manages a variety of administrative activities including, but not limited to, the timing and distribution of communication channels and the maintenance of internal and external company resources and documentation.

  • Provides support in researching, proofreading, editing and ensuring the highest levels of quality across all communication.

  • Fosters strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication before, during, and after key launches and campaigns, supporting teammate’s feelings of engagement, pride and value within the organization.

  • Monitors trends in the corporate communications space to support continuous improvement.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

Nature and Scope

  • Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.

  • Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct customers of the process.

  • May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support or professional personnel.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally, 2-3 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 1-2 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.

  • At least two years’ experience in a corporate communications environment.

  • Understanding of corporate communication at a large-scale organization (5,000+ employees).

  • Outstanding writing and editing skills for different formats, including but not limited to email announcements,  press releases, and video scripts.

  • Strong collaborator who enjoys working with a cohesive team.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Understands nuance and knows how to navigate consistent change within a large organization.

  • Ability to shift quickly between content development and administrative execution and enjoys working cross-functionally.

This is a hybrid position. Eligible candidates residing in the greater Atlanta area will be asked to work two days a week in our Doraville, GA Field Support Center.
