This is a hybrid position requiring an on-site presence 3 to 4 days per week. Please note that the number of days on-site can increase based on business needs.

We are seeking an extraordinary Communications Specialist to support a range of Corporate Functions—including Finance, Technology, and Corporate Affairs —as well as provide additional communications support for the Commercial teams.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Communications Business Partner, this role will help execute strategic internal communication initiatives that engage employees, amplify corporate priorities, and strengthen alignment across the organization. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who excels at simplifying complex topics, developing compelling narratives, and supporting cross-functional partners in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Strategic Thinking: Analyzing situations, understanding the desired outcomes, and developing targeted communication plans to achieve goals. Looking at the full life cycle of a story and understanding the various angles, platforms and deliverables that will hit target audiences and amplify the message.
  • Digital Fluency: Understanding and utilizing various digital communication platforms and tools to meet the objectives of amplifying the brand and position the company favorably. In addition, utilizing data to inform communication strategies and measure their effectiveness.
  • Strategic Storytelling: Craft and amplify compelling narratives that connect employees to the company’s priorities and purpose, ensuring that story is told in its full life cycle and reflects the authentic experience of employees and/or the impact of the company’s work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the development and execution of internal communication strategies that align with corporate functional priorities and enhance employee understanding and engagement.
  • Partner closely with leaders across Finance, Technology, and Corporate Affairs to support communication needs, including drafting content, supporting program rollouts, and reinforcing key messages.
  • Assist in delivering communication support for leaders whose scope includes Commercial, ensuring consistency and alignment across diverse business units.
  • Create and manage content for internal channels, including messaging, newsletters, intranet posts, FAQs, talking points, and leader communications.
  • Maintain and contribute to the internal communications content calendar to ensure timely, relevant, and coordinated messaging.
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to support the implementation of communication channel strategies to maximize reach, impact, and clarity for internal audiences.
  • Use data and insights to assess communication effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with cross-functional partners to deeply understand programs, priorities, and opportunities for strategic storytelling.
  • Help develop messaging that reinforces the company’s values, purpose, and culture, elevating stories and initiatives that connect employees to the company’s mission.
  • Contribute to communication plans for corporate programs and initiatives, including drafting materials and supporting project execution.
  • This role will have a portion of their role dedicated to supporting generalist communications needs for the department as needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of communications experience, preferably including internal communications or experience supporting corporate functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, marketing or related field
  • Excellent writing, storytelling, and editing skills with the ability to translate complex information into simple, engaging messages.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on execution and delivering high-quality work.
  • Strong collaborator with the ability to build relationships across teams and levels.
  • Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools is a plus.
