General Purpose
Partner with stakeholders to prioritize, develop, and analyze communications for MillerKnoll and Dealer field sales and design teams. Collaborate with key contributors to identify effective communication methods, ensuring content is clear, engaging, and aligned with top initiatives. Manage communication platforms, handle urgent leadership communications, and analyze metrics to evaluate the success of key initiatives. Drive process improvements, coordinate cross-functional teams, and act as the expert on audience preferences, content delivery, and engagement strategies.
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with leaders of key initiatives to develop, maintain, and own a strong communication plan.
Write, edit, and produce select content for internal field team communications.
Review contributor's content to ensure it captures and maintains the reader's attention, enabling them to grasp the main points quickly.
Analyze communication metrics and report on the success of key initiatives.
Partner with stakeholders and contributors to identify the appropriate delivery methods and actions for given communication.
Manage crisis, urgent, and emerging communications with key stakeholders, often involving leadership, to ensure timely and effective messaging.
Drive process improvements by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, and implementing solutions to streamline communication workflows.
Facilitate and coordinate cross-functional collaboration between departments to ensure alignment and effective execution of communication initiatives.
Manage existing communication software suite (The Field Lounge, email, Omni, etc.) and audiences.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Business Administration or related field.
1-3 years of experience in corporate, employee, or marketing communications.
Skills and Abilities
Communication and Writing Skills – Ability to write, edit, and produce clear, engaging content, as well as review and enhance the work of contributors.
Stakeholder Management – Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to partner with stakeholders, coordinate cross-functional teams, and manage urgent or crisis communications.
Analytical Skills – Ability to measure, track, and analyze communication performance metrics, and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Project Management – Organizational skills to develop, maintain, and own communication plans, manage communication platforms, and prioritize initiatives effectively.
Process Improvement and Problem-Solving – Expertise in identifying and implementing solutions to streamline workflows, improve communication processes, and enhance team efficiency.
Ability to manage a wide range of activities and multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Ability to effectively adapt under shifting conditions and competing priorities.
Ability to effectively use office automation/communication software and tools, such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Office 365. Experience with Microsoft Sharepoint, Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign preferred.
