WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT FOR US
SimCorp’s Group Communications Team is responsible for developing a wide variety of communications throughout the organization, including: executive and strategic communications; global internal communications; global external communications; reputation management; and corporate communications.
We have an opening for a Principal, Communications, to join our team and focus on both internal and external communications.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
As part of the Group Communications team, you will have a balanced mix of internal and external communications responsibilities:
Internal Communications Responsibilities:
- Support internal communications projects to ensure effective storytelling and messaging for employees.
- Develop and implement communication strategies that enhance the employee experience and keep staff aligned with SimCorp’s business objectives.
- Create and manage content for internal channels, such as town halls, newsletters, presentations, and C-level communications.
- Coordinate internal communications to keep employees well-informed about company updates, strategic initiatives, and organizational changes.
- Help lead crisis communication efforts and provide guidance on messaging during sensitive operational and reputational issues affecting staff.
- Manage production of internal communications collateral, ensuring consistency in messaging and alignment with SimCorp’s values and brand guidelines.
External Communications Responsibilities:
- Support external communications projects to ensure a comprehensive approach to messaging for audiences outside the organization.
- Develop and implement communication strategies that enhance SimCorp’s brand visibility and reputation in the marketplace.
- Create and manage content for external channels, including press releases, website content, and media-facing materials.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to craft key messages that align with business priorities and drive organizational change externally.
- Build and maintain reliable relationships with external stakeholders, including media, journalists, and industry peers, to manage inquiries and enhance SimCorp’s public image.
- Help lead crisis communication efforts and provide guidance on messaging during sensitive situations that affect SimCorp’s reputation.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive messaging, and media coverage to inform external communication strategies and initiatives.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align external communications efforts with overall marketing goals and campaigns.
This balanced approach ensures that both internal and external audiences are engaged, informed, and aligned with SimCorp’s strategic objectives.

We’re looking for individuals who are committed to contributing effectively and growing with the position.
- 8 – 10 years of experience in corporate communications.
- Extensive knowledge in communications planning, storytelling, media relations, leadership messaging, measurement and analytics, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic communications counsel
- Experience in creating impactful messaging across multiple channels.
- The ability to work across time zones and with different parts of the world.
- The ability to develop and execute strategic communication initiatives that enhance SimCorp's brand and reputation.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
