Job Description Summary

The Communications Manager will support the development and execution of strategic communications initiatives for Cushman & Wakefield’s commercial real estate business on the McKesson Account. This role works closely with the account leadership and Business Operations Teams to support internal communications, including drafting written collateral, developing account-specific messaging, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure alignment, managing content for newsletters, supporting account-level recognition and cultural engagement efforts.

A key aspect of this position is dedicating approximately 10% of work time to McKesson-specific communication activities, including regular SharePoint updates and maintenance to ensure timely and accurate information sharing.

Success in this role requires the ability to transform complex information, data, and research into compelling narratives that advance account objectives and engage both internal stakeholders and clients. The ideal candidate is proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented, with strong prioritization and time management skills and a genuine passion for effective communication in a dynamic environment.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the account Communications Program, including internal strategy development and alignment with McKesson and C&W business priorities
  • Advise senior leaders on communication strategy, including tone, timing, and delivery
  • Manage the editorial calendar and oversee the account newsletter, coordinating content planning, stakeholder engagement, and monthly distribution
  • Organize and execute Account Town Hall events, handling agenda development, stakeholder alignment, logistics, and post-event communications to reinforce key priorities and drive engagement
  • Support the creation and design of internal and client-facing materials, including PowerPoint presentations and graphic assets
  • Draft and disseminate governance reports, covering transactions, wins, personnel changes, market research, and milestones
  • Develop and monitor communications KPIs (e.g., engagement, reach, sentiment), leveraging analytics to optimize channel performance and strategy.
  • Uphold brand standards, ensuring consistency and integrity across all communications for both C&W and McKesson
  • Maintain the C&W distribution list in McKesson Active Directory, ensuring accuracy and accessibility
  • Provide coverage during McKesson Communications team member absences, ensuring continuity of communications and stakeholder engagement
  • Contribute to and proof the MRE Newsletter, ensuring editorial quality and alignment with communications objectives
  • Build strong relationships and influence cross-functional teams, aligning messaging and amplifying strategic priorities
  • Boost account culture, engagement, and thought leadership through best-in-class media usage
  • Support crisis communications, assisting leadership with sensitive external messaging

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 4 years of communications experience in corporate or agency settings
  • Proven ability to develop and implement communications strategies
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and content synthesis skills
  • Expertise in email newsletters, online content, and PowerPoint design
  • Experience supporting C-Suite leadership and influencing stakeholders
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
  • Collaborative leadership across all levels of the organization
  • Analytical skills with proficiency in data tools and methodologies
  • Ability to work independently and drive impactful outcomes
  • Skilled in navigating diverse environments and building consensus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $ 77,968.80 - $85,000.00
