Job Summary
Working as part of the Marketing and Communications team of 35, you will strengthen how we communicate and engage with our people and our audiences across the UK. Help us bridge our internal and external communications functions, encourage greater collaboration and a joined-up approach in how we tell our stories under our brand, value for the nation.
Our recent work includes telling the story of how an energy partnership helped Nexus Multi Academy Trust maintain swimming programmes for children with severe learning disabilities. Smart procurement decisions that make a real difference to people's lives, those are the stories we are here to tell.
Key Accountabilities:
Strategically plan, source, develop, and deliver communications across all internal and external channels to ensure alignment with, and support for, organisational priorities
Bring curiosity and creativity to spark fresh thinking to both internal and external communications, driving new approaches to engage diverse audiences
Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation, ensuring communications are coordinated, aligned and impactful
Work closely with colleagues in the communications team and wider MarComms team to encourage collaboration, share best practice and identify opportunities for joint working and repurposing of content
Support staff engagement through a mix of internal events, including town halls, staff briefings and engagement activities
Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues across the organisation on communications matters
Contribute to communications planning and help ensure activity is evaluated and learning is applied to future work
Develop and manage relationships with external stakeholders to support our wider communications objectives
Produce high-quality written content that can be used across multiple channels, including articles, news stories, briefings, speeches and digital content, such as social media for a range of audiences
Essential Criteria (to be assessed at application stage):
Experience working in both internal and external communications roles
A track record of delivering communications activity that supports strategic objectives
Excellent copywriting and content creation skills, with the ability to write clearly and engagingly for different audiences and channels
Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience building relationships at all levels using a collaborative approach and commitment to working effectively across teams
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, with experience using digital channels to reach and engage audiences

Working flexibly, delivering outcomes
CCS operates a smarter working model that balances flexibility with collaboration. Successful candidates are expected to spend at least 26 days per quarter (approximately 2 days per week, pro-rata) at their contracted office, another CCS site, or off-site for meetings. For the remainder of the time, you may work from home or another suitable location that meets business needs.

Selection Process
