We are seeking a talented individual to join our LGIS team at Marsh. This role will be based in West Leederville.

An exciting opportunity is available for a Communications Coordinator to join the team at LGIS - the WA local government sector’s dedicated mutual scheme for risk financing and risk management. This position is responsible for supporting implementation of the LGIS marketing communications strategy.

We will count on you to:

  • Coordinate and write articles for the Quarterly Risk Matters magazine, Monthly Healthy Intel newsletter, Monthly local government e-newsletter, and Monthly internal staff e-newsletter ‘The Wire’.

  • Review, edit, and update website and blog content to ensure accuracy and engagement.

  • Proof, edit, and write promotional flyers and resources for local government and other publications.

  • Liaise with designers and photographers for the production of promotional material.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

What you need to have:

  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

  • Demonstrated experience in Corporate Communications, and web content writing and management

  • Strong copywriting and editorial skills.

  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills, particularly in Word and PowerPoint.

  • Strong communication skills with attention to detail.

  • Be self-motivated and ability to develop stakeholder relationships across the organisation to aid in the ability to identify and find stories

  • Naturally curious and inquisitive person seeking to learn new things. A desire to research, understand and take on complex learnings.
